WeGO Eurasia regional office to participate the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) webinar

February 24th took place the online event during which the presentation of WeGO activities in 2021 happened as well as the WeGO’s Africa Reginal Office opening ceremony and sessions on the smart cities topic.

Head of IT development division, IT development department, “Government for citizens” WeGO Eurasia regional office Coordinator Aleksandr Riabushko invited the WeGO representatives and stakeholders to active participation in the annual webinars of the Eurasia regional office, including the topics of the future events. Likewise the event’s participant from the Ulyanovsk region expressed interest of the region in cooperation with WeGO on the direction of participation in training programs, webinars and workshops.

 “Among opportunities provided by WeGO knowledge exchange and capacity building are the Ulyanovsk region’s priorities. The transition of the significant part of interaction into the online format broadens the opportunities for participation in the international events. It enables, on the one hand, to raise the staff’s qualification, on the other, - to constantly improve the quality of decision-making”, - explained the Eurasia regional office Secretary general, “Government for citizens” director Ms.Svetlana Openysheva.

To recall, Ulyanovsk region has been cooperated with the World organization for 10 years. In 2013 the region was elected as the WeGO Europe regional office. In 2015 the Executive Committee meeting was held in the region, in 2017 – the WeGO General Assembly. Since 2018 Ulyanovsk region has been the Eurasia regional office of the World organization.
