Applications Open for Joint Workshop for Smart Sustainable Cities and e-Gov 2018! (July 9-13)

 Dear WeGO Members,

We warmly invite your officials to the Joint Workshop for Smart Sustainable Cities and e-Government to be held on July 9 to 13 on the Jeju Island, Korea. The third edition is held in close collaboration with the National Information Society Agency of Korea (NIA), Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MoIS), and the World Bank. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain a broad understanding on Smart Sustainable City ecosystems and acquire first-hand knowledge of successful Korean and worldwide cases. The program’s vibrant study & cultural tours will further ensure that participants have a memorable time in Korea on the island of Jeju renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage sites and picturesque sceneries. Eligibility & Application Information

Managerial-level public employees of WeGO Members, preferably in charge of smart city and e-Government, and ICT-related projects, are eligible to attend the Workshop. A maximum of three applications per city can be submitted but not all applicants may be admitted.

To apply, please complete the Online Application Form by May 10, 2018. Kindly prepare beforehand passport scanned copy, headshot photo as well as the nomination form (attached) for online application. 

Selection & Travel Arrangements

After receiving all applications, the WeGO Secretariat will go through a selection process, including interviews with the applicants from May 16 to 18, to determine the final participants of the Workshop. Once the selection is made, each participant will be responsible for securing their flight tickets as well as visa for Korea. WeGO and the organizers will cover local costs including accommodation and meals for the duration of the Workshop.
