Joint NIA-WeGO Workshop for Smart Sustainable Cities & e-Government

                                                                                                                                                                                             

We are pleased to invite officials to the Joint NIA-WeGO-World Bank Workshop for Smart Sustainable Cities and e-Government to take place on November 20 to 23 in Seoul, Korea. This year's edition is held in close collaboration of WeGO, the National Information Society Agency of Korea (NIA) and the World Bank. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain a broad understanding on Smart Sustainable City and e-Government ecosystems and acquire first-hand knowledge of successful Korean and worldwide cases. With the help of prominent experts, they will also identify solutions to the most pressing challenges in their respective cities during special interactive activities. The program’s vibrant study and cultural tours will further ensure that participants have a memorable time in the capital of one of the most dynamic and innovative economies.

Eligibility & Application Information

Managerial-level public employees of WeGO Members, preferably in charge of Smart City and e-Government, and ICT-related projects, are eligible to attend the Workshop and a maximum of two applicants per city will be accepted.

To apply, please complete the Online Application Form by October 13, 2017. Kindly prepare beforehand passport scanned copy, headshot photo as well as the nomination form (attached) for online application.

Selection & Travel Arrangements

After receiving all applications, the WeGO Secretariat will go through a selection process, including interviews with the applicants from October 16 to 20, to determine the final participants of the Workshop. Once the selection is made, each participant will be responsible for securing their flight tickets as well as visa for Korea. WeGO and the organizers will cover local costs including accommodation and meals for the duration of the Workshop.
